Get Involved this Legislative Session
The 2012 Legislative Session begins on Monday, January 9th, 2012. The legislature convenes every second Monday of each year for a period no longer than 40 days, with the primary responsibility of passing the Georgia state budget. This is also the time that we debate many issues including education, health care, and other issues important to our constituents. The Legislative Session is not only exciting to watch, but is also a crucial time where 180 members in the Georgia House and 56 members of the Georgia Senate make important decisions about the quality of lives of all Georgians.
